ESSAM Kácov school includes two biennial international schools, one
with the focus on mathematical modelling, numerical analysis,
and scientific computing (MASC), and the another focusing on mathematical fluid
mechanics (MAFF),
taking place at Kácov (Czech Republic) in alternating years.
Mathematical Modelling, Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing
Period: every two years, organized in even-numbered years, starting from 2016
Next school: May 24 - May 29, 2020; number of participants 40-60
Description: Usually four main speakers deliver a series of three or four lectures.
The aim of the
school is to promote the interconnection of mathematical modeling,
analysis, and computational methods used in solving complex (real-world)
problems. The lectures will be prepared with a broad multidisciplinary
audience in mind, and at each school a broad scope, ranging from modeling
to scientific computing, will be covered. Ample time within the school is
allocated for the promotion of informal scientific discussions among the
participants.
